Day -2

Last CHEMO DAY!!!!!!!!!

I woke at 5:30 with major stomach pain.  It seems my "cycle" got a little off from the chemo from mobilization, so 10 days later...here we are.

6:00 - zofran was given for my nausea coming back from the chemo.

6:40 - excedrin for my cramps and a protonix for heart burn.

7:00 - lasix again (so ready to be done peeing 2 liters, 3 times a day).

8:20 - compazine (nausea is no joke friends)

8:30 - potassium started again via IV and pill.  The lasix is depleting my potassium levels so I have to get extra.  My weight is down to 155, no worries folks, I've got plenty of baby weight floating around. :)

No real appetite, but I'm trying.

9:30 - Dr. Burt and team visit.  I'm being put on a constant cycle of anti nausea meds.  I'm on track for transplant on the 17th!

9:45 - premeds for Cytoxan. Regular meds levothyroxine, etc.  My lips and body felt like it was buzzing, that means I had low calcium, so I got a tums...yummy orange.

10:30 - last Cytoxan dose!!!  Hip Hip Hooray!!!  NO MORE CHEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!

-----------------
I'm feeling much better now that the nausea is at bay.  I can eat again (a little) and will try to enjoy the day now.

All the nurses love the photos of the boys and tell me how cute they are.  I look at their faces many times throughout the day, knowing they are well taken care of while I fight for my life back, is something I will always cherish.  Thank you to the massive childcare team (Gwen, Randy, Steve, Jeanne, Terry, Jenn, Megan, Mary, Caleb, Melody...and others.

CHEMO HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!!!

12:30 - pretreat with IV Benadryl for rATG.  Then it was nap time. :)

2:40 - lasix again.  Here comes the potty party for the next 2 hours.

3:30 - Daily Strawberry Smoothie!

6:00 - PF Changs dinner treat for ending the chemo.  Trying to celebrate the little things.  Jesse is eating off of my hospital menu so I can have what sounds good. :)

8:00 - daily shower.

9:00 - lasix (pee party again)
